The Saturday Shiners #07: Sell AR as a Service like a Pro

# Here how I'd prefer to approach it:

1. Identify your target customer

– Target comparatvely bigger brands as customers because they understand the value of AR experience. This will reduce your selling effort. Start with ecommerce and retail industries since they have hundreds of products which can potentially get better attention via using 3D experience.

2. Find an existing problem

– Most ecommerce businesses are always looking for ways to engage more customers online and shorten the sales cycle. They look effective solutions in both from online advertising and marketing campaigns approaches.

3. How to solve it with WebAR

– It is very easy to embed an URL link in the ecommerce website as a link or button, close to the product display. Clicking on this will open up the WebAR experience for users. For desktop viewers, associated QR code in the same page can work too. Users can get a realistic overview of products without visiting the brick and mortar shops.

4. Financial gain by using your solution

– WebAR can easily increase the customer engagement by 85x by increasing the brain activity when a product is viewed in AR. The wow factor has much higher chance to convince the user to buy the product after virtual trial. Thus the closure of sales cycle get faster, customer acquisition cost drops down, sales increases by 2x within weeks and company counts on profitable quarters.

5. Impact in a long run

– Words of mouth is the strongest form of brand awareness and loyalty building. Great WebAR experience excites customers and they refer it to more to their friends, families, relatives and colleagues. Thus a brand gets rapid popularity and earn tons of customer loyalty brownies over the long term.

Result:

Landing your first client is always crucial. But with right mindset and homework, it is not a huge challenge as it sounds. Once you have sold WebAR solutions to few of the customers, then collect their testimonials and land more deals sooner. This will work as a rippling effect to bring your business growth to a new height in very less time.

Next Week: I'll exlain how many WebAR services are there which you can leverage to build your strong customer cases.
