🎄 A Year of Small Wins, Big Lessons & Quiet Gratitude

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and an early Happy New Year.

This is the final edition of The Saturday Shiners for this year, and it feels right to pause, breathe, and look back before we sprint forward again.

If there’s one thing 2025 taught me, it’s this:
progress rarely comes as fireworks — it shows up as consistency.

This year started like any other. Same ambitions. Same doubts. Same calendar that looked far too optimistic in January. But somewhere between coffee breaks, cold showers, and late-night writing, milestones started stacking up.

Some professional. Some deeply personal. All meaningful.

On the professional front, a big moment was crossing 20,000 followers on LinkedIn. For months, it felt impossible. When it finally happened, it didn’t feel like an end — it felt like a responsibility. To write better. To think deeper. To help more people navigate AR, 3D, and ecommerce with clarity instead of hype.

Work-wise, I had the chance to create real impact in my workplace, introduce AI into Marvin XR, and unlock new opportunities that didn’t exist a year ago. I also went deeper into Agentic AI, completing multiple certifications and courses — not to chase buzzwords, but to understand where systems, autonomy, and creativity are heading next.

I also showed up in two podcast interviews, which pushed me outside my comfort zone in the best way. And yes — somehow — I managed to ship 51 weekly newsletters without missing a beat. That alone deserves a quiet celebration.

But the year wasn’t only about work.

I received my Danish driving license, bought my first car in Denmark, and passed my Danish language test in summer — small victories that meant independence, confidence, and belonging.
 

On the personal discipline side, I kept my morning cold showers going for over six months. Every year, I try to adopt 2–3 healthy habits. This one stayed. Another big one? I finally quit smoking for good. Not a habit I was proud of — but one I’m proud to have left behind.

Family moments defined the soul of the year.

I created a series of fun STEAM experiments for my daughter during every break and holidays — (since she started in Danish school from this summer). I gifted my wife a pendant made from a rare lunar meteorite, found in Africa — a small cosmic reminder that some connections are literally written in the stars. Along the way, my prehistoric fossil collection grew too — because curiosity should never retire.

Through it all, I stayed consistent with weight training and physical fitness. Nothing fancy. Just showing up.

When I look back now, the year doesn’t feel loud.
It feels earned.
